The primary function of this position is to safely coordinate daily traffic operations.
Adheres to all safety rules and works safely on all jobs.
Coordinate the placement of cones, barrels and flaggers.
Responsible for safely moving sign packages to ensure flow of daily operations of paving and earth work crews.
Must have working knowledge of all OSHA and DOT specifications.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with direct field supervisor daily needs, quality of signs, cones, and safety issues.
Report immediately to foreman any damage to the equipment or safety hazards or accidents.
Must be able to consistently lift and/or manipulate with push/pull force of +/- 50 pounds.
Flexibility with regard to schedule, working early and/or extended hours, weekends and holidays when required.
Incumbent must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise level (PPE will be provided, including hearing protection as required), long hours standing, walking, and laboring outdoors in varying weather conditions – frequently in extreme heat.
